OVERVIEW

The Bridge Church is a multisite church in Middle Tennessee that exists to be with Jesus and become like Him for the sake of the world. We are located in one of the fastest growing cities in the US. This growth, coupled with our desire to take more ground for the gospel, has created a growing need for point leadership of our Bridge Groups Network.


ROLE SUMMARY

The Groups and Formation Director will be responsible for growing and leading our Bridge Groups to bring people together to be with Jesus and become like Him for the sake of the world. This person will ensure that we are thinking creatively and strategically about how we are making apprentices of Jesus from all angles, in all domains: teaching, groups, language, practices, events, music, etc. They will also help our church and leaders always think through the lens of this question: “How is this shaping our people?”

  • Proven ability to lead and grow leaders and volunteers
  • Advanced relational skills with a passion for shepherding others
  • Ability to handle complex theological and cultural questions with winsomeness and biblical accuracy 

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the groups network by recruiting, onboarding, and training leaders and coaches. 
  • Build and oversee the care process (and own air traffic control for outsourced counseling).
  • Equip group leaders with resources to help people take next steps and grow in discipleship.
  • Oversee the execution of all Bridge Groups related events (e.g. Groups Connect, Leader Training, etc.).
  • Oversee development of sermon-based Groups curriculum.
  • Become a thought leader in Groups ministry (start a cohort and invest in other churches).
  • Equip and lead the Group Directors at each location.
  • Work with Location Pastor and elders to coordinate pastoral care through the groups network.
  • Develop and execute ongoing training for group leaders including, but not limited to, one-on-one meetings, video trainings, and other training materials.
  • Be available for other duties when asked by the Executive Leadership Team. 

 

SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday

HOURS: 45+ (must be available for special events & meetings, etc as needed)

COMPENSATION: TBD

STAFF LEVEL: Director: reports to the Lead Pastor of Teaching
